Jennifer Zeng, a Falun Gong activist who was imprisoned for a year in a female labour camp, gave evidence to the China Tribunal about what she said were repeated medical check-ups and blood tests to which inmates were subjected.
During Jennifer’s imprisonment, her blood was tested and her organs were scanned. She was freed from the camp after pretending to reform in 2001, and came across a news story explaining what those tests had been for.
Going into the camp was like stepping into hell. It was what we read about at school about Nazi concentration camps during the Second World War. I thought it would never happen again but now it was happening to me.
