CCP ‘Copied Its Way’ to Economic Success & China’s Military Ban on Tesla

CCP ‘Copied Its Way’ to Economic Success & China’s Military Ban on Tesla

Hello, everyone, welcome to “Inconvenient Truths”. I am your host Jennifer Zeng.

Today I will talk about three topics: The CCP’s shadow behind the “Stop Asian Hate” campaign; how another CCP expert revealed the CCP’s secrets of the past 40 years in just one minute, and then the recent setback Tesla is encountering in China. So make sure you stick around till the end.

 One Video Says It All

In our last show, we talked about the CCP’s shadow behind the recent “Stop Asian Hate” rallies across the US. Well, it turns out that not only in the US, but in other parts of the world too.

Let’s watch a short clip from Vancouver , Canada, together.

Well, I think you don’t need any explanation from me to understand the story behind this video. When one of the so-called protestors failed to block that yellow sign saying “Hold CCP Liable”, a security guard rushed over to help.

That kind of security guard is not a police officer. They are hired by the event organizers to maintain order at the rally.

So why was that security guard so eager to block a sign that  says “Hold CCP Liable”? The most reasonable answer is that he was hired by the CCP, or he was a CCP guy himself. So he felt obliged to block such a sign.

It was not supposed to appear in that rally, as it was sending out a message that the CCP wants to hide.

So, that’s just an additional piece of evidence to show you that the CCP’s shadow is behind this “Stop Asian Hate” campaign.  Creating chaos in western societies can not only undermine these societies, but can also give the CCP another excuse for them to say to people inside China: Look! Democracy is not as good as you think. Our system is so much better!

CCP ‘Copied Its Way’ to Economic Success

Now, let’s move to our next topic.

If I tell you that someone can reveal 40 years’ secrets of Communist China in just one minute, would you believe it? Believe it or not, here is this 1 minute video in Chinese. Please make sure you read the English subtitles to understand it:

Well, were you fast enough to catch up with all his main points?

If not, here is what I gather:

First of all, he admitted that the purpose of the CCP’s “reform and openness” policy was to introduce foreign technology, investment, experiences and wisdom, and then “partner them to learn to do it alone.” He repeated “partner them to learn to do it alone” four times, to show that this is the core point of the CCP’s “reform and openness” policy.

Then he said that after 40 years, everything is ours, including plants, equipment, technology, patents, products, the market and the brands.

That is also the reason why he thought the CCP’s chief foreign diplomats Yang Jiechi and Wang Yi had the right to be tough to their US counterparts a while ago during the US-China talks in Alaska. Yang Jiechi and Wang Yi virtually scolded US Secretary of State Blinken and National Security Adviser Sullivan for “having no right to talk to China” in that way.

What lies behind in this expert’s message is that whoever is more powerful, or has more “sharp power”, can bully other countries. That’s why the CCP became so aggressive in recent years, after it felt that it had the power. That’s also why we cannot allow the CCP to dominate the world. Otherwise, everyone will be turned into its slaves. The CCP only believes in power, not in principles or values.

This CCP expert then admitted shamelessly that the CCP had only done one thing in the past 40 years, and that is to “plagiarize barbarically”. “What intellectual property rights? What patented technology? (Who cares?) We do it first.”

When I translated his speech, somebody raised a question as to whether I should translate it as  “plagiarize ruthlessly” instead of “barbarically”. The Epoch Times translated it as “wildly” when they covered this speech.

Perhaps it is true that in English, nobody would use the word  “barbarically” to describe oneself. However, this CCP expert did use the word “barbarically” when he spoke.

Why? Like I said in my previous show about the CCP’s top strategist Jin Canrong’s speech, in CCP’s society, what is good and what is bad have been reversed in many things. People no longer feel ashamed about being evil, or applying evil tricks on your enemy.

So that’s why this CCP expert actually felt very proud instead of being shameful when he used the world  “barbarically”. Just like applying evil tricks to your enemy is a good thing, “plagiarizing barbarically” is also a good thing and needs to be encouraged, as doing so is making the CCP stronger and the CCP’s enemies weaker. That's his logic and mentality.

So, it’s really not just an issue of choosing the most proper word when doing the translation. It is an issue of how the CCP has given a different connotation to many words we know; and I think that this  needs to be conveyed too when I do the translation, to make people understand the CCP’s mentality and evil culture better and more deeply.

By the way, you might be wondering who this guy is. Well, his name is Zang Qichao. He is a Chinese professor, author, and businessman, who chairs two companies, a communications company and investment firm.

His clients include  China’s biggest state-owned banks and telecom firms, including Bank of China, Agricultural Bank of China, Industrial and Commercial Bank of China, China Construction Bank, etc.

According to his bio on a Chinese website, he is appointed by 60 of the most famous universities in China including Tsinghua University and Peking University as a visiting professor.

In the past 10 years, he has been giving internal training and consultancy to enterprises in over 200 big cities, and nearly 12 million students have attended his training. He has also written dozens of books, some of them very popular in China.

So, again, just like Di Dongsheng and Jin Canrong, he is not a nobody in China. His mentality represents exactly the CCP's mentality.

China’s Military Ban on Tesla: Killing Two Birds With One Stone

After talking about this CCP professor’s 1 minute video, let’s move on to a related topic: The setback that Tesla is encountering in China.

On March 19, a notice about Tesla vehicles being banned by China’s army was circulated on Chinese social media, but soon got deleted. What you are seeing is an achieved copy.

A notice about banning Tesla in Military housing issued on March 19, 2021

It says, “Upon inspection and actual testing, Tesla brand vehicles are found to be equipped with a series of technical devices such as omnidirectional cameras, ultrasonic sensors, etc. These devices can expose the location of a target. In order to ensure the absolute safety of military secrets, and to prevent potential threats, vehicles of this brand are prohibited from being driven into or parking at the [military] staff and family building compounds. We will also conduct routine inspection of vehicles inside the compounds and hope that every household will cooperate.”

The Wall Street Journal also confirmed that the Chinese regime is restricting the use of Tesla vehicles by military staff and employees of important state-owned enterprises. The data collection ability of the vehicles is the main concern and was reviewed as a national security threat.

Chinese officials believe that cameras in Tesla vehicles can record images and obtain data including when, how, and where the vehicles are being used, as well as the contact lists of mobile phones synced to them. Beijing is concerned that some data could be sent back to the United States.

A Tesla representative said that none of the in-car cameras in Teslas sold in China are turned on or part of the Full Self-Driving (FSD) beta trial and that Tesla’s privacy policies comply with national laws and local regulations in China.

Bird One: In Line with the CCP’s “Wolf-Warrior Diplomacy”

In an interview with the Epoch Times, Chinese current affairs commentator Shi Shan said that the security concerns about Tesla are just an excuse for the CCP.

He said, “These Tesla features did not just become available now, and the so-called ‘threat’ did not just emerge today. Why wasn’t the CCP worried before? Why did the CCP only raise this issue now? It is obviously part of the CCP’s recent tough diplomacy on display.”

I kind of agree with him. Didn’t the CCP expert Zang Qichao also say that the CCP has the right to talk harshly now to the US because it has the power to do so?

Bird two: Replace Tesla with Local Brands

Another expert, a private investment consultant Mike Sun, told The Epoch Times that the purpose of the CCP bringing in Tesla is just like what they did to the iPhone. They will use Tesla and Apple technology and industrial chains to support China’s local manufacturing industry.

Tesla entering into the Chinese market has driven the development of China’s local electric vehicle brands such as NIO , Li Xiang One, and XPeng (also Xiaopeng Motors).  Now that these manufacturers have matured, the CCP does not want Tesla to continue to grow and expand.

I think this is exactly the CCP expert Zang Qichao’s point too. Didn’t he repeat four times in the one minute speech that the purpose for the CCP to introduce foreign investment and technology is to “partner them to learn to do it alone”? He also said in the end, everything is “ours”, which means, the CCP’s.

“When we look back, the plants are our ours, equipment is ours, technology is ours, patents are ours, products are ours, the market is ours, the brands are ours. The foreigners have all gone.”

This is what he said.

So, will Tesla be treated differently? I highly doubt it.

Now, these are some further facts and figures.

Another local Chinese brand, Geely Auto Group,  will soon launch a high-end electric car brand Zeekr to take on its major competitor Tesla.

As Tesla’s sales in China grow rapidly, Geely’s move is aimed at fulfilling its founder and chairman’s long-held ambition to build a “Mercedes-like” premium car to rival Tesla.

Last year, Tesla’s revenue in China reached $6.662 billion, an annual increase of 123 percent, accounting for 21.12 percent of Tesla’s global revenue, second only to 48.22 percent in the U.S. market.

In the meantime,  Geely’s total sales volume last year was 1.32 million cars, making it the best-selling Chinese passenger car brand for four consecutive years.

In addition to Geely, NIO, Xiaopeng and Li Xiang One are also starting to close in on Tesla. Although the combined sales of these three electric car companies in China were only 19,000 units last December, still lower than Tesla’s performance of over 23,000 units, all three companies’ sales increased by more than 100 percent compared to the same period in 2019.

So, overall, although Tesla has made significant progress in China in recent years, the market will become increasingly competitive as local Chinese brands, such as NIO and Geely, continue to cut into the sales.

The political risk is of course another factor to consider. If the US-China relations continue to deteriorate, will Tesla become a victim? Nobody knows.

Recently many international brands such as H & M, Nike, Adidas , Uniqlo are being boycotted in China because of their stance on China's treatment of Uyghurs. The US government has (show P8) officially determined that what the CCP has been doing in Xinjiang is genocide.

However, the CCP doesn’t admit this, and is inciting the public to boycott these companies that said they would not use cotton produced by slave labor in Xinjiang.

So, that is what we call the “political risk” of doing business in China or with the CCP.

Well, that’s all for today’s “Inconvenient Truths”. One viewer left a comment on my last show saying that “this channel was highlighted on FOX NEWS at about 50k subscribers. AFTER, STILL 50k. Almost impossible. Satanic/ Luciferian YouTube suppression. Period."

Yes, it’s so sad, right? Sometimes when I see that the views are so low, I do doubt whether it is worthwhile to maintain this channel. Then I think, if I stop doing new videos, isn’t that exactly what Youtube and the CCP wish? Maybe that is the reason why YouTube is suppressing my channel: to “squeeze me” out. So I think I will need to carry on.

If you agree with me, please do help me in any way you can. Thank you so very much! Your support always means so much to me.

Thank you. See you next time!
