“The Deep Meaning of President Xi Jinping's Meeting with Blinken"
US Secretary of State Blinken has left China for several days, but today Xinhua News Agency suddenly published a key article discussing 'the deep meaning of President Xi Jinping's meeting with Blinken.'
The article states that there are three key 'deep meanings':
1. 'Taking responsibility for history, the people, and the world,'
2. 'Great power competition is not in line with the trend of the times,'
and 3. 'Implementing positive statements into action.'
The article concludes by saying, 'The river of history is vast and magnificent. Faced with the 'century question' that China and the United States must answer about whether they can handle their relationship well, as a leader of a major country who is responsible for history, the people, and the world, President Xi Jinping has already given China's answer. How will the US respond? People are watching.'
Some say that in this US-China dialogue, the CCP won face but lost substance.
From what I see, the CCP has been increasingly erratic lately. On one hand, after US President Biden called Xi Jinping a dictator, the CCP's Ministry of Foreign Affairs started shouting and cursing like a mad shrew. On the other hand, today Xinhua published an article explaining the 'deep meaning' of Xi Jinping's actions. Isn't this a sign of their confusion? In my opinion, no one should pay it any attention or play its game. Then we'll see the 'stormy waves' that Xi Jinping mentioned immediately arrive.
