A Historical Moment （2）
I took this historical photo on Apr 20, 2006, when the #CCP head #HuJintao was visiting the #US.
The lady's name is Anne. She made her first & only public appearance to give testimony of the CCP's #OrganHarvesting crime at the McPherson Park in #Washington DC.Her husband personally removed corneas from over 2000 #FalunGong living practitioners. (Other surgeons removed other organs.) She escaped #China to expose this astonishing crime.
However, not many so-called "mainstream" media attended the press conference.
This picture was taken at the moment when she finished her speech.
When I caught this moment, I could feel her disappointment and sorrow. I thought she was pondering: Would the 4000 Falun Gong practitioners detained underground at #Sujiatun be able to survive? Or have they already been murdered for their organs? Would she herself be able to live a life free of fear in her remaining years?
I have no idea where she is now, or how she is doing. I heard her ex-husband (she divorced him later) died of cancer maybe several years after this in Canada.
But one thing is certain: Because we failed to stop the atrocity then, more people have become victims, including Urghiers. Now even ordinary Chinese people can "disappear" anytime in #CCPChina.
