Star Wars Illustrator Banned in China after Oscar Nomination. What is the Real Reason?

Maybe you haven’t heard the name Daxiong or Guo Jingxiong, but you may probably have heard about Star Wars, Justice League, Top 10, and Fringe if you are a fan of animation and comic books.
Or, if you live in Hong Kong, or were following Hong Kong people’s heroic protests against the CCP in 2019, you have might seen this poster, and pictures of people holding this poster in their hands when they took to the street.
Well, Daxiong is the illustrator of all the above comics and an animation film called “Eternal Spring”. This film was just named Canada's submission for the Oscars' best international film.
But shortly after the news of the Oscars nomination, all books of Daxiong were banned in China. Why?
